Jignesh Shah – The Rise and Fall of an Ambitious Entrepreneur

Shah was 8 when he developed a clear career vision for himself of pursuing engineering and setting up his own business. Incidentally, he chose his life partner too at the age of eight ! He finished engineering as planned. The beginning of Shah’s career, like that of most entrepreneurs, was modest. He started as a software engineer offering software products for trading to brokers and stock exchanges. Shah joined BSE and became a part of Project BOLT (Bombay Online Trading System). BOLT was an ambitious $ 15 million project aimed at automation of the exchange.
